Sweet Potato with Maple Sauce : as easy as to poke the sweet potato and microwave it until is cooked (3 min at least). Then mash the sweet potato a little and cover it with maple syrup.

As a snack you can have the cucumber, tomato and avocado chopped all mixed with plain Greek yogurt and a pinch of salt and pepper!

Lexis

Lexis is a crazy girl I met on the plane...let me tell you more about Lexis, she is kind of the girls that looks like she has money but she looks tacky...you know what I mean? Why she was talking to me I realized that she has no education...and I kept on wondering why does she do for living..does she have any husband or family...and little by little she started chatting and chatting and she gave me all the answers...

It turns out she is a hair dresser..of course now everything make sense! The way she dresses, her diet, her talking..her problems..but you know..one would think that I have nothing to learn from her but it was actually the other way around...by spending time with this girl, I realized that i live worried about silly things, that she has a humble not that humble life because she kind of wears more expensive cheap clothes..lol! i know it sounds confusing but..you know I would say she is a wanna be...but who cares? I dont...Lexis is just so nice.

I just hope when I am her age I can be like she is..She is so free, beutyful and it seems that she has no regrets in life, she has her girlfriend club, she has two sons, which are both married now, and overall she seems to enjoy life... and have fun !It a shame that she doesnt have facebook account....just like the old times. :/

And by the way, thanks to Lexis I am reading the 50 shades of gray..which my friend Caroline stole from me :)

Caroline

It's been almost two years since I last saw my French-Canadian Friend Caroline.

I still remember when I met her, she was this perfect beautyful and smart girl, that almost instantly became my best friend. At the beginning I was looking at Caroline and I remember wondering why how is that I can not be like her, her grades were better, her look was better, her nightl life was full, with plenty of activities to do, friends every where and she spoke three languages fluent. She was perfect and whenever I talked to my friends and I asked them why dont any of you hit on Caroline and their response was..because she is too good for me...damn! who would say it! It turns out that all guys were afraid of Caroline because she was too perfect..anyways two years when by and Caroline came to visit me at Houston.

At the beginning I kind of reluctantly wanted to see her, but as soon as she stepped on this house, wow everything changed, talking to Caroline reminded me a bunch of stuff that I already had forgotten..like my taste for art, good european movies, reading and courtesy for other humans hahaha, she said I am becoming American...in other words I am becoming self centered.

Caroline is so perfect, she is very smart, very nice a good friend and omg! we were walking on the mall and a guy just stopped her and told her how beauty she was....really! I dont recall a guy doing that for me..but anyways I guess thats is the way it is...Caroline invests a lot in her clothes...and in her diet..while I am eating like a pig she barely eats...and so on...I think and I really think this..sometimes I wish i were a little bit more like Caroline..she is more free and I am so square...but in others..I am more free and she is so..tiny...or afraid..dunno...the only thing I know is that I have a buch of things to learn from Caroline...but she also need to learn from me...hopefully she can get a Houstonian guy so she can move here and then we can be the sisters we always wanted to be.

Self-esteem file

As our hapiness project we have to come up with what they call a self-esteem file, which is basically a folder where you collect all the positive and/or good things people say about you during the day, and for some reason one tend to ignore....

So this is how my self-esteem file looks today:
-Im so brave, and full of courage, very sure of myserlf
-Im smart
-Im Perseverant
-Im dedicated
-Im selftaught
-Im ocurrent, imaginative, and always trying new things
-Im good at what I do
-Im humble and very kind
-Others looks at me as a source of Inspiration
-I go and pursue my dreams
-Im sweet like a little girl and Im always smiling

As a part of our hapiness project we are supposed to:

Find our strenght
Shift focus
And whenever I am about to act wrong, I should ask first: Is this what we want for ourselves?
Do one thing better
Have this attitude: One person's sucess doesnt rob another of sucess. In fact, success can always breed sucess.
Do your best
Experiment it
Love your self
Stop comparing
Find what's treathening you, and ask: What do i feel is being threatened?
What are you insecure about?
What are you afraid to lose?
What is it that you believe you deserve?
Be realistic
Is a person really a threat to you?

The last agreement

The fourth and last agreement in the book, The four agreements is "Always do your best":

Just do your best-in any circumstance in your life. It doesnt matter if you are sick or tired, if you always do your best there is no way you can judge your self, there is no way you are going to suffer from guilt, blame, and self-punishment. By always doing your best, you will break a big spell that you have been under.

Desiderata

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or
bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than
 yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in
your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the
 changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of
trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many
persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of
 heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical
about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as
 perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the
things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden
misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many
fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a
child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have
 a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is
unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever
you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its
sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be
 cheerful.

Desiderata (Latin: "desired things") is a 1927 prose poem by American writer Max Ehrmann (1872-1945).
Strive to be happy

The wave

Germans have tried to get rid of that cruel concept they are characterized for, and although all the people that lived the horror of hitler is long gone, new generations are still trying to forget....and they bet on it, they really believe that they are different now, that they can blend with the rest of the world.

I saw this movie called the Wave, wich was quite successful in German cinemas, and after 10 weeks million of people have watched it.

The plot is about a high-school that has a week project and Wenger (the teacher) discusses autocracy with his class. His students, third generation after the Second World War,do not believe that a dictatorship could be established in modern Germany, so Wenger starts an experiment to demonstrate how easily the masses can be manipulated.....

Little House on the Prairie

After seeing the TV show called 'Little House on the Prairie', I started looking up information about Laura Ingalls Wilder, and it turns out it’s not a fictional character, must of them were real, but Nelly Olsen, her teenage brother (she had a brother but died as an infant), and sorry to say but Mr. Edwards was one of the fictional characters.

Mary got blind but never married; she lived with her parents, until she died. Rose is the only daughter of Ingalls Wilder, but Rose has no children so there are no descendants from the Ingalls now a days.

I was wandering in the library the other day, and ran into the Little House of the Prairie book series, and for 9 USD, I  couldnt help but buy it.

Its not very long ago that Laura Ingalls adventures took place, and it was not long ago when all the people had wagons for cars, i cant stop thinking man! those were real people...fightling cold winters with all their belongings in a little wagon, just like the cover of the first little house on the Prairie book.
